The deck is meant to be split into two, 30-card minidecks (listed in the rules) to learn the game, but they can be combined into one regular deck as well. Players compete to bring out their combatant cards to the table, and power them up for battle with energy cards. Whoever wins the game is the champion Pokémon trainer!
